At check-in each driver that qualifies will be asked to purchase a daily insurance policy. The cost is $15 a driver and is in addition to the rental fee. That fee goes directly to our insurance company and is not collected by Lake2Sand Rentals.
Each rental fee includes safety equipment (goggles and helmet), admission to Dyracuse recreational park (if you are on a 3 hour ride), and provided snacks, waters, and Gatorades to rest and recover during your ride.
Kids can ride as long as their feet are flat on the floor, back against the seat and be able to hold on. 48" is the approximate height.
No, we do not rent any ATVs - Saddle-type vehicles. Only UTVs/Side-By-Sides.
Our UTVs are for use exclusively at Dyracuse Recreational Park. All guests will be guided to and from the park for their riding session. We also offer 2-hour guided rides.
Up to $3,000 damage deposit HOLD - if the vehicle comes back the same way it left, we'll release the funds, usually within 24 hours. Scratches/damage bigger than a credit card will be charged.
We will release your deposit within 24 hours of your ride if the vehicle is returned without damage or incident. The duration until the released deposit shows in your account depends on your bank/credit card provider.
Depending on the extent of the damage, we will estimate the cost of labor/parts and take only that amount from your damage deposit - not to exceed $5,000, if you have followed the waiver.
Lake2Sand UTV Rentals requires renters to be 25 years of age or older to rent. Those who are 16 or older (with a valid driver's license), but younger than 25 may operate a vehicle with a parent or guardian in the vehicle at all times. No exceptions.
No, you can not legally trailer our units anywhere.
Yes, to stay compliant with our waiver and the rules and regulations of Dyracuse, you must wear a helmet at all times while the vehicle is moving. L2S provides helmets and goggles.
The trails at Dyracuse are primarily sand. However, there are mud bogs and other areas where you may encounter standing water. The trails are professionally maintained and groomed for riding safety.
Weather dependent, there may be significant standing water. You can avoid getting covered in mud by slowing down through the water holes.
Please bring clothes that can get muddy and some gloves if you'd prefer. A dry change of clothes when you return is highly recommended. Helmets/Goggles are provided and required to be worn. We suggest you take any sharp or loose objects out of your pockets as items may fall out during your ride.
We do. Upon arrival and before your ride begins, your tour guide will hand you a paper map of the trails and explain which areas you can and cannot drive on. Our 2-seater Polaris UTVs also provide a built-in GPS system for you and your party to reference during your ride.
As long as they have completed a waiver and meet our minimum requirements, anyone with a valid drivers' license can drive your rental. If you let somebody who has not completed a waiver or is under the legal driving age drive your rental, you will be liable for 100% of all costs for damages, even beyond your damage deposit.
We will automatically keep the full damage deposit. This is standard procedure for our industry.
We are pleased to off a 10% discount to our currently active or inactive servicemen and women, medical professionals (nurses, doctors, etc.) and first responders. Just show us your card/badge. We appreciate your service!
For the comfort and safety of all guests, prohibited items include, but are not limited to: firearms, illegal substances, alcohol, glass containers, cigarettes, and e-cigarettes. We do not allow any of these items in our UTV or on the trails.
There is a 72-hour cancellation policy in order to receive a full refund.
Cash is not accepted. L2S Rentals accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. You must provide a credit card for the damage deposit hold.
It is customary to tip the guide. Gratuity is based on individual preference but we suggest 15% which is the industry standard. You may tip the tour guide in cash or have it added to your credit card. Our tour guides appreciate your generosity!
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets of any kind to ride with guests in the UTV.
